Coming May 6th: "The Paradox of the Christian General"

David Kelley Thomson is a history teacher from Bridgeport, Connecticut and a graduate of Bowdoin College, where he received the Bowdoin Class of 1875 Prize in American History in 2008. His senior thesis was on General Oliver Otis Howard. He has studied military history at King's College of the University of London and has attended the Gettysburg Civil War Institute for many tears, including a Jeff and Lynn Shaara Scholarship in 2003. He has done extensive research on the Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain Collection in conjunction with Bowdoin College and helped to create a website on Chamberlain in 2007. In march 2010, David gave a presentation at the American Civil War Round Table of the United Kingdom, London, England and has been a frequent presenter at many New England Civil War Round Tables. He has presented living history and has been a reenactor with the 3rd Maine Company A since 2003.
